2025 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR!
SUPPORT US AND VOLUNTEER IN 2026!

Sammamish Friends entered into 2025 with a strong volunteer presence in our community, positioned to continue its committed vision of “Bringing Sammamish Together”. This happened in dedicated and creative ways across all our work groups and programs by fulfilling our mission of “enriching our community, protecting the environment, and connecting people”. Here are a few of our 2025 highlights:

Welcomed six new board and advisory board members

Became Fiscal Sponsor for: Community & Culture Collective (C3), a new local group that supports the arts, culture, and community life for Sammamish residents of all ages by facilitating the venues, programs and activities that allow our community to connect, learn, and grow.

Transitioned e-news to MailChimp platform

Grew plans: Emerald Necklace, Kids Mud Run, Passion for Nature, Seniors, Stewards

Provided kids aged 4-10, and teen and adult volunteers, a magical summer experience: Kids Mud Run event that attracted over 1,000+ people to a safe, fun obstacle course

Co-hosted second year of Aging Well Resource Fair and doubled attendance from 2024.

Entered into formal partnership agreement: King County Library System, Sammamish

New program coming in 2026: Passion for Art at the Sammamish Library. Check this website for details in January 2026.

Designed new logo with volunteers, launched new website with high school IT Team

Initiated online QuickBooks and hybrid board meetings at the library.

Received second grant from KC Parks/KC CM Sarah Perry for free Senior Pickleball program
