The Sammamish Friends
Sammamish Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports other Sammamish volunteer groups and projects.
The Beginning
We formed in 2012 out of the Parks Commission. Since our founding, we’ve focused on positive engagement in environmental stewardship and community development.
Our Purpose
Our mission is “Enriching our Community, Protecting the Environment, and Connecting People.” As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we act as an “umbrella organization,” providing organizational and financial support to the many local groups that are helping shape Sammamish.
What We Do
In addition to partnering with community groups, we also host our own projects and events. Key examples include activism for the Emerald Necklace Trail System, hosting Passion for Nature strolls, and the Sammamish Kids Mud Run.
