Illahee Trail

The Illahee Trail skirts around a pond known to locals as Llama Lake.  Historically, this area was an open meadow, used by grazing llamas.  With increasing development, it filled with water and is now a year-round pond.  Bring your camera or binoculars — this is an attractive stopover for migrating birds.

The paved half-mile trail is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible.

To get there:  From Sammamish City Hall, head north for one mile.  Turn right onto NE 8th.  In 0.4 mile, the Illahee Trail will be on your left.  Please park on NE 8th.
