A. The Kids Mud Run is for ages 4 to 10.

A. We make an effort to group runners by size.

Q. Are participants timed?
A. The event is not timed.  To encourage fun, the challenge is to finish messy and muddy.

Q. What should I bring?
A. Make certain your children wear proper running shoes (no sandals), a change of clothes, and a beach towel. Swimming goggles may be desired because of the mud.

Q. Do I need a release form?
A. Yes.  In order to run, children must have a waiver signed by a parent. Parents can download the form here: Kids Mud Run Participant Liability Waiver Form.  Be sure to bring the form with you the day of the run or bring it to the Runner Packet Pick Up meeting (see below).

Q. Can I get a runner packet before the run?
A. Yes.  There will be a Packet Pick Up where you can pick up your child’s T-shirt and bracelet, and turn in the signed Kids Mud Run Participant Liability Waiver Form, which your child must have to be able to run.

A. Check-in is at the big pavilion at the bottom of the pathway that leads from behind Sammamish City Hall and the Sammamish Community YMCA to the Lower Commons.  Just follow the signs.

Q. Do we have to be there at a specific time?
A. The ticket you purchased will be for a check-in time of either 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM.   A group of about 10 runners will be released to run about every three minutes.

Q. Where is the finish line?
A. The finish line is located by the Community Garden – a good spot for a photo!

Q. Is there anything to do while we wait for the runners to finish the race?
A. In addition to the spectator pathways, the spray park and playground will be open, and there will be games and a photo opportunity area at the finish line by the Community Garden.
