2021 City council candidate questionnaire

Four seats on Sammamish’s City Council are up for election this November. Sammamish Friends offers you a chance to learn more about the candidates by reading their responses to a questionnaire covering topics we feel are important to our mission of Protecting our Environment and Enriching our Community.

Visit our questionnaire page to see the candidates’ responses.

As our serving President, Karen Howe, one of the candidates for city council, was not involved in creating or distributing the questionnaire.

2019 Year End Reports

Thanks to everyone who joined us at our 2019 year end potluck!

We were proud to recognize our 2019 Volunteers of the Year for their terrific work on the Kids Mud Run: Robina Qureshi and Dave Dunnington!

Thank you as well to our officers, including Karen Howe, Janet Wilson, Pauline Cantor, and Brian Alkire.  Special thanks to John Rossi for his amazing success in raising $6200 in sponsorships this year for the Kids Mud Run!!

We’d also like to highlight the Sammamish Botanical Garden Society!  We’re very excited with all the progress you’ve made this year!  (Be sure to check out their website!)

And, as every year, we continue to be blown away by the Sammamish Stewards. They are an amazing and dedicated crew with a lot to show in 2019 and plans for 2020!
