We now have a park on the shoreline of the lake for which our city was named. With two picnic shelters, barbecues, a dirt and gravel trail and a portable restroom, this is a great place to access Lake Sammamish, have a picnic, toss a Frisbee, and enjoy incredible views. The park, accessible from the East Lake Sammamish trail, now has a parking lot on the east side of East Lake Sammamish Parkway. Former parking along 187th NE has now been eliminated (converted into a bike lane by the City of Redmond). You may also be able to parallel park along the west side of the Parkway.
To get there: Head south on East Lake Sammamish Parkway from the Redmond-Fall City Road. Look for the parking lot on the east side of the Parkway. Or, try for parallel parking on the west side.
