Sustainable Sammamish

Sustainable Sammamish Facebook Page

Sustainable Sammamish is a volunteer group in Sammamish whose focus is to further a variety of Sustainability efforts within the city.

Our primary focus at the moment is exploring the possibility of a plastic bag ban in Sammamish.

We are also interested in helping to encourage local businesses to recycle and compost.

Have a sustainability idea you’d like to see happen in the city?  Let us know!

Looking to be more sustainable at home?  Below are some links that will help you recycle and reduce how much you have to send to the landfill every month!

Here’s a great <a href="http://http://your.kingcounty.gov/solidwaste/wdidw/index.asp” target=”_blank”>King County link with lots of useful tips and a very helpful “What Do I Do With…” search bar.

Also from King County, a helpful flyer detailing the types of plastics accepted by retailers who take plastic bags.
