Sammamish Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports other Sammamish volunteer groups and projects.
- We formed in 2012 out of the Parks Commission. Since our founding, we’ve met every month, focusing on positive engagement in environmental stewardship and community development.
- Our tagline is “Protecting our Environment and Enriching our Community.” As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we act as an “umbrella organization,” providing organizational and financial support to the many local groups that are helping shape Sammamish.
- In addition to partnering with community groups, we also host our own projects and events. Key examples include activism for the Emerald Necklace Trail System, the development of Sammamish’s first postcard, and planning the Sammamish Kids Mud Run.
- Everything we’ve done has started with someone in the community coming to us with an idea and the passion to see it through. No matter what you’re interested in, the first step is showing up!
Our goal is to help those in Sammamish make it happen.
If you have a project, we can connect you to the resources, organizations, and experts in Sammamish that best suit your needs. We can also help you get known in Sammamish and provide website support and miniature marketing grants.
If you’re an individual looking to get involved, we can connect you with community leaders and partner groups that can help you realize and further your passions.
